I'm Carina Nicklaw

I am a Staff Product Designer at ServiceNow. I live to solve big problems through delightful experiences. I’m equally passionate about the team that supports that solution. I obsess about customer journey maps and planting the flag for the optimal experience.

I supported this client through multiple projects by leading the UX on their responsive redesign, the product shop experience, and usability testing, all done in an accelerated timeline.

MD Revolution

I led the UX effort across a Responsive Web, Health Portal, and a Heath & Fitness Mobile App to help personalize the healthcare journey for the end-user.

Taylor Guitars

I lead the UX for Taylor Guitars digital presence through a responsive redesign.  I designed tools that supported the user in their long-term shopping journey through product comparison, advanced filtering and detailed high-end product detail pages.

Penfolds Wines

Building off their campaign of the time “every occasion has a number” we wanted to bring to life the occasion landing page and give the user a luxury digital experience in line with the luxury product, all the way through purchase and shipment.

This is a responsive redesign of a Pfizer Drug, called Lyrica. It satisfies multiple indications, which is not typical. I led UX along with a creative team based out of New York at JWT

The goal of this project was to strategize how the content of the site may tell a more compelling story, constrained by their current template library. I thought about this with SEO optimization in mind.

Nice to meet you

During my 14+ years, I have been entrusted to lead and architect user-centered design for problems that touch millions of people. I have diverse experience across multiple industries, technologies, providing me with a deep understanding of digital platforms.
 
My super-power is listening and untangling complex problems to find the true pain points for our users and customers.  I aim to co-create with my team to ensure each individual, no matter what title or discipline, experiences ownership and contributes to improving the product experience.
 
I am competitive by nature and seek to find the best design-thinking practices, processes, and methodologies to continuously improve the product experience.  I thrive on ensuring my knowledge is shared through leading and mentoring junior designers and sharing research insights, making them accessible and actionable.
 
When I’m not at work, you can find me adventuring with my husband and two boys and finding creative ways to rethink what adventure means while we have spent more time at home in the last year.  I enjoy every opportunity to get outside and most mornings you can find me running sprints at the local field.
